I Feel Pretty…in Pink. So Should You! Get Your Tickets for Three Dollar Bill’s 3rd Annual Dinner & Auction!

March 19, 2010• byMichael Strangeways

It’s only eight days away, so hopefully you’ve purchased your tickets and started steaming out the stains in your cumberbund and freshioning up your taffeta…the third annual dinner and auction to benefit Three Dollar Bill Cinema, the fine folks who put on the Seattle Gay and Lesbian Film Festival, the Translations Film Festival, Cineoke!, numerous film series and events thoughout the year including those fabulous summer screenings in Cal Anderson Park, is going down NEXT Friday, March 26th at Sodo Park, 3200 First Ave South starting at 6pm. Here’s what it’s all about:

Guests will enjoy silent and live auctions, appetizers, sit down dinner, hosted wine, non-alcoholic beverages, and some cinematic surprises!
All proceeds from the auction will help further Three Dollar Bill Cinema’s mission to enrich, strengthen, and connects diverse communities by supporting and exhibiting Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender film.

Three Dollar Bill Cinema is a vitally important community resource for EVERYONE in Seattle regardless of gender or sexuality. Support them and you help support the arts in Seattle and help Seattle to continue being one of the most livable cities in the world. Don’t support them and they will perish and we’ll turn into Topeka…don’t let that happen! You do not want to live in Topeka! Believe me! Also, Jason and Rachael and everyone at Three Dollar Bill are adorable and you wouldn’t want them to have to move to some gawdawful city to find meaningful work in the arts, would you? About the Author: Michael Strangeways

As the Editorial Director/Co-Owner, Michael Strangeways writes, edits and does about a million other jobs for Seattle Gay Scene, Puget Sound's most visited LGBTQ news, arts and entertainment website now celebrating its 14th year as a media outlet. A semi-proud Midwesterner by birth, he's lived in Seattle since 2000. He's also a film producer who would like you to check out the Jinkx Monsoon documentary, "Drag Becomes Him" now available on Amazon.com. In his spare time, he gets slightly obsessive about his love for old movies, challenging theater, "otters", vodka, chocolate, "I,Claudius", Lizzie Borden, real books made out of paper, disaster films, show tunes, Weimar era Germany, flea markets, pop surrealistic art, the sex lives of Hollywood actors both living and dead, kitties, chicken fried steak, haute couture and David Bowie. But, not necessarily in that order.
