Only a few days remain until the Big Gay weekend in Vantage.
Are you ready?
What started as just a quaint gathering of three dozen people in 2007 and 2008 exploded to over 100 participants last year. The 2010 event will be Friday May 28 until Monday May 31 and promises to be their biggest event ever. Camping is free as many people will just be passing through for a day or two on their way to the Sasquatch Festival.
To make the trip fun for everyone the group has come up several hilarious and important rules. To summarize what they suggest you need to have: Bring wood, bring booze, bring cigarettes, bring layers of clothes, bring food and water, bring a tent, sleeping bag, etc., bring sanitary stuff, bring PRIDE flags and don’t bring glass!
There will be a couple of special themes during the weekend:
Friday Night Light. Light yourself up, show your colors and have fun. How bright are you? Use neon colors, mini lights, flashers or whatever we just want to see you light up!
Saturday it’s an ABC party! ABC? Anything But Clothes. Wear a magazine, your bedroom curtains, a beer box, plants, an old stuffed animal. Be creative and have fun. Our desert divas will be judging and awarding the most creative!
