Have you heard the one about the Movie Star who walked into a Gay Bar?

May 18, 2010• byMichael Strangeways

Both Towleroad and Kenneth in the 212 (and the LA Times, for some reason) have the scoop on a visit by movie hottie/current James Bond star Daniel Craig’s visit to a Santa Monica gay bar called Roosterfish with a “male friend” to check out the gay male 80’s cover band, “The G80’s”. Kenneth’s source claims that Craig was seen being “very affectionate” with his “friend” and even showed pictures of his cat to other patrons…

I have to admit I find this exciting and titillating but I have to point out that thousands of straight people go to gay bars every night, usually because they like the dance music, or to accompany their gay friends on a night out on the town. Also, I’m one of the millions of gay men who frequently visit STRAIGHT bars and usually accompanied by women and the last time I checked, I haven’t had any kooky sudden urges to become a devotee of cunnilingus…

Maybe Mr Craig is gay, or bisexual, or maybe he’s just a typical fortysomething guy who likes 80’s music and hanging out with his gay friend and talking about his deep love for the hot, hairy pussy in his life…

As the Editorial Director/Co-Owner, Michael Strangeways writes, edits and does about a million other jobs for Seattle Gay Scene, Puget Sound's most visited LGBTQ news, arts and entertainment website now celebrating its 14th year as a media outlet. A semi-proud Midwesterner by birth, he's lived in Seattle since 2000. He's also a film producer who would like you to check out the Jinkx Monsoon documentary, "Drag Becomes Him" now available on Amazon.com. In his spare time, he gets slightly obsessive about his love for old movies, challenging theater, "otters", vodka, chocolate, "I,Claudius", Lizzie Borden, real books made out of paper, disaster films, show tunes, Weimar era Germany, flea markets, pop surrealistic art, the sex lives of Hollywood actors both living and dead, kitties, chicken fried steak, haute couture and David Bowie. But, not necessarily in that order.
