Seattle PrideFest at Seattle Center just released its entertainment schedule for Sunday June 27, 2010. With what most likely will be the biggest free admission one day Pride festival in the nation, Seattle PrideFest has expanded its footprint to offer even more for 2010. Last year’s attendance at the festival easily topped over 50,000, probably more. This year should yet again break attendance records.
The Seattle Pride Parade begins at 11am along 4th Avenue in downtown Seattle and the entertainment at the nearby PrideFest starts at the same time, as many of the hundreds of thousands of spectators will make their way to the Seattle Center following the Pride Parade.
Seattle Center’s International Fountain is always THE place to party, or just relax in the sun, for all ages and PrideFest has a set up a diverse DJ lineup for the day. From 11am-1pm it’s Riff Raff, Tony Burns and Bret Law. Then, 1pm-3pm features DJ Rob Hall (NYC) and DJ Lee Decker (San Francisco). From 3pm-4pm it’s the “Queens Of The Seattle Scene” DJs LA Kendall & Colby B followed by Trouble Dicso Hour 4pm-5pm with DJs Terry Hecker and Ben Cook (live performance by Can Can Castaways). Last but not least, the Hard Times Stage blows out the finale from 5pm-7pm with DJs Skiddle, Mathematix & Nark and a live performance by Luxury AK.
And over at the Entertainment Stage, the day kicks off at 1:40pm with a performance by “Eighteen Individual Eyes” with the highlight of the afternoon coming at 3:10pm, featuring a live performance by American Idol’s Kimberley Locke. Also, look for the cast of Le Faux, including Shannel from RuPaul’s Drag race, Mayor Mike McGinn, comedian Julie Goldman, and a special honor for veterans and a call to action for DADT.
Starting at 4pm there will be buses to take festival-goers up to Capitol Hill for the inaugural momo Street Party of PrideFest outside of Neumos until 9pm – where Kimberley Locke will perform once again. Neumos, up on Capitol Hill, will hold a Pride Closing Party 8pm-1am with DJ Rob Hall for just five bucks.
Bigger entertainment with over 6000 square feet of beer garden, more booths, more food, more people and a lot of open space at the Seattle Center combine to offer the most that a Seattle Pride Festival has ever attempted.
Seattle PrideFest is still offering their Prider Pass which includes all these events plus RED, the hottest men’s party of pride, with DJ Phil B on Saturday night at Neumos going until 5am. Trust me on this, the VIP access only is more than worth the cost of the pass.
