Seattle Frontrunners is holding an “Underwear Fashion Show” fundraiser on June 12, 2010 and their Annual Run with Pride event the following morning on June 13. All the money raised will go to the Chicken Soup Brigade, which works to improve the nutritional status of people living with HIV/AIDS and other life-challenging illnesses in Seattle/King County.
The Frontrunners’ annual community race, “Run and Walk with Pride,” benefits a local non-profit each year by encouraging members of the Seattle area to participate. Now in its 27th year, group organizers decided to “beef up” the festivities, and the fundraising, by offering something a little extra: an underwear fashion show!
Here’s how you can help:
The Underwear Fashion Show: Do your part Saturday night, June 12th, by watching fit models show off the latest underwear fashions at R Place Bar and Grill (619 E. Pine Street). All models in the show are Frontrunner volunteers and all proceeds from the evening go toward the Chicken Soup Brigade. The show starts at 9:30pm and donations will be accepted. The Facebook event is here.
Run and Walk with Pride, 2010: Get active on Sunday, June 13th in Seward Park for a fun 4K run, 10K run, or 4K walk. All abilities are welcome to the Frontrunners’ 27th annual event, with awards for top finishers. This year the group is giving away technical t-shirts and all finishers will be eligible for fabulous raffle prizes! Hurry, registration closes on June 11th at midnight so register today at www.seattlefrontrunners.org/rwwp.
