We Have A Winner in our Violet Tendencies Gay-La Ticket Giveaway!

June 9, 2010• byMichael Strangeways

Sorry for the late update; Mr Strangeways got home from “real” job, ate and fell asleep for three hours and is starting to suspect he is getting an irritating summer cold…but enough about me and my petulant whining….we have to honor someone for WINNING our big SIFF Gay-La Quiz and Ticket Giveaway for tomorrow night’s screening and after party for Violet Tendencies, at 7pm at the Egyptian. Can I get a drum roll?

Our big winner: ELIZABETH S. for successfully answering our three questions in the fastest time. And, for those of you not clever enough to navigate to IMDB or Wikipedia, the answers to the questions were:

Question #1: Randy Jones, the “Cowboy” from Village People
Question #2: Caspar Andreasson is the real name of director Caspar Andreas, born in Sweden
Question #3: Molly Ringwald was a regular in Season 1; George Clooney was a regular in Season 7

Thanks to everyone who played the game. And, for those of you without tickets to the Gay-La, tickets are still available…go to SIFF.net to buy yours.

About the Author: Michael Strangeways

As the Editorial Director/Co-Owner, Michael Strangeways writes, edits and does about a million other jobs for Seattle Gay Scene, Puget Sound's most visited LGBTQ news, arts and entertainment website now celebrating its 14th year as a media outlet. A semi-proud Midwesterner by birth, he's lived in Seattle since 2000. He's also a film producer who would like you to check out the Jinkx Monsoon documentary, "Drag Becomes Him" now available on Amazon.com. In his spare time, he gets slightly obsessive about his love for old movies, challenging theater, "otters", vodka, chocolate, "I,Claudius", Lizzie Borden, real books made out of paper, disaster films, show tunes, Weimar era Germany, flea markets, pop surrealistic art, the sex lives of Hollywood actors both living and dead, kitties, chicken fried steak, haute couture and David Bowie. But, not necessarily in that order.
