Seems like whatever you decide to do tonight it all involves trying to avoid the d’bagfest that is Capitol Hill’s Block Party. The annual infestation has swollen to a nauseating 20,000 people over the weekend in large part to fact it is open to the underage crowd, which is good for them. But here are some “gay” things happening right ouside the fences.
The highlight of the month is The Laramie Project which Michael Strangeways asserts is “one of the most emotional, powerful and moving nights you will have in a Seattle theater this year.”
One of my favorite resident DJs – Harmonix is at Cuff Complex tonight until 3am with only a $5 cover.
Mark “Mom” Finley is back at RPlace. Yes, you heard right. Tonight only, she celebrates yet another birthday and will be performing in the Lashes Show which starts at 9:30pm. Only God knows how old she is.
Those Cinderella softball players, Team Stealth, will be at The Eagle and at The Elite selling Jello Shots for their trip to the big game in Columbus, Ohio. Those shameless boys from Team Stealth will be at The Eagle’s Underwear Party at 9:30pm in just their undies or jock straps and will be auctioning off their underwear later in the night.
Who needs to pay a big cover to enjoy live music? Noddy and Secret Shoppers are at Pony with DJ Lil Ozzy and it’s gay.
And if you happen to be stuck in that debacle that is known as The Block Party, Wildrose is your gay oasis with DJ Jodi Bon Jodi and DJ Joy.
Good luck to you. Expect large crowds from the suburbs, allow extra time to park and, of course, never drink and drive. Better yet don’t drive at all.
Wow! I like it when Bill's bitchy and snarky!
More please!
