Hey! It’s a new feature! We’ve been a bit lax about posting for the last 6 weeks or so, but in our defense, there’s been a lot going on in our lives with SOME of us GETTING new, (real) jobs and SOME of us GETTING laid off and all sorts of crazy stuff going on and we apologize for neglecting you but we promise to make it up to you. Hopefully, you’ll be seeing a LOT more posting going on with a lot of new features and articles and maybe just a bit less in the way of annoying, rewritten press releases (which we are VERY sick of doing) and a whole lot more news, glitter and excitement. Also: new logo and probably a new look for the site…stay tuned for more news as it develops!
China is now the #2 economy in the world…only 10 more years until they become our overlords…Hail, Emperor Ming!
Annoying drama queen/stereotype, Jetblue FA Steven Slater to get own reality tv show…great, now every DQ Flight attendant in the country is going to be giving off attitude in hopes THEY get their own show…
Zsa Zsa “I’m not the Gabor that was on ‘Green Acres’; I’m the one that married a lot of men and slapped the cop” Gabor is, sadly, on her deathbed. Creepy “Prince” husband is undoubtedly looking for ways to get HIS own reality show…
The divine Laura Linney now has her own Showtime series, “The Big C” about a woman discovering that she has incurable cancer and it debuts tonight. I would check it out, but I don’t have cable…let me know. Also, I’m thrilled Ms Linney is getting work, but have to note that it’s a bit sad when actresses in their 40’s stop getting film roles and end up on cable tv shows and varying degrees of quality. It’s great for TV viewers and it can be a rewarding job for the actresses but it sucks that all movies seem to be about 22 year olds having kooky adventures in front of a green screen…Oh, and in other Laura Linney news, she has apparently donated one of Mary Ann Singleton outfits from the original “Tales of the City” miniseries to a new LGBT museum in San Francisco…God, I love that woman!
To Wong Foo: It’s my Birthday and Where’s my Damn Cake! Love Julie Newmar…our favorite (TV) Catwoman turns 77…Oh, and for old movie fans, that nasty, nasty bit of goods, Veda Pierce is turning 82; Happy Birthday Ann Blyth! Also, some old singer turns 52 and the mothers of Brazil lock up their 20 year old sons…
And, on the local front, the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence battled the Seattle Quake rugby team in a charity kickball event benefitting The Alano Club and fun was had by all on Saturday evening at Cal Anderson…And, who knew rugby players had such hot asses?!?!? Hot! Hot! Hot!
