The 7th Annual FASHION FIRST will feature local designers Lizzie Parker, WyattOrr, and local independent retailers La Ree, Sway & Cake, The Finerie, Chez Chic, Asher Anson, Zovo Lingerie, Ragamoffyn’s, and Clutch. We can’t wait to see what they have in store for us! Our fall wardrobe could totes use an update.
And, we love the fact that the FASHION FIRST event is designed to highlight local Seattle independent retailers and local designers while supporting an awesome cause. The event is supporting Rise n’ Shine, a local organization supporting children affected by HIV/AIDS. For 22 years, Rise n’ Shine has been:
…providing emotional support programs, stability, advocacy, and AIDS education for children and teens affected by HIV/AIDS. This includes children and teens who have been orphaned by the disease, children and teens who live with a parent or other close family member with HIV/AIDS, and those who are infected themselves.
Give this great organization all the support you can!
Ticket prices range from $50 for general admission to $150 for VIP tickets and $500 for the beyond swanky Ultra VIP ticket. It’s all happening Thursday, September 16 at The Showbox SoDo. VIP Red Carpet is at 7 and General Admission doors open at 8pm.Tickets are available at the Fashion First website. Oh, and the event is hosted by former Evening Magazine host, John Curley.
Local retailers have had a couple of hard years, according to Executive Director, Joan Kelly, “the Seattle area has seen over 25 locally-owned retail shops close in the past 2 years”. Come out and show your support for local Seattle retailers and designers AND help out a great organization like Rise n’ Shine!
