| Murder City Devils performing on “Dinner with the Band” this summer. |
The popular local garage band, Murder City Devils has a gig at the Showbox at the Market this Saturday, October 16 at 8pm. Supporting their new album, Thelema, they will be supported by opening acts, Past Lives and Cold Lake. To sweeten the deal, the show is a fundraiser for the Lifelong AIDS Alliance…between the Red Dress event and this, Saturday is turning out to be a huge fundraising day for Lifelong. And, the counter programming is a smart idea…if dressing up in a red dress and listening to dj disco is not your thing, then head to the Showbox and get a little dirtier and funkier. (Also, I’ve been told that you can’t find a damn red dress in this town! The entire city is cleaned out! People might have to show up in red culottes! Scandalous!)
As for the Murder City Devils show, it’s an all ages event and advance tickets are available HERE. Oh, and according to the site, ONE HUNDRED PERCENT OF THE TICKET SALES GO TO LIFELONG! That is pretty frakking amazing…kudos to The Showbox, The Murder City Devils, Past Lives and Cold Lake for putting this on. Sounds like it should be an amazing show.
