Our Lady J brings “Gospel to the Godless” this Saturday, October 23 to Century Ballroom.

October 21, 2010• bySeattle Gay Scene

OUR LADY J’s “Gospel for the Godless,” is a celebration of original music, penned by the self-proclaimed “transsexual spiritualist” Lady herself. Her performance will be at 10pm on Saturday October 23rd at West Hall in the Oddfellows Building. Inspired by traditional Gospel services, Our Lady J delivers a new testament of post-religious gospel music that promises to deliver you from your woes, sans the usual dogmatic baggage. Our Lady J revitalizes the genre while remaining true to what gospel music was intended to be: powerful, uplifting music for all of humankind. She blasts her classical and gospel roots into the future; fusing electro/pop with the unorthodox uplifting soul-shaking sound she is known for. Presented in partnership with City Arts Fest .

Tickets are available now for this one-night only engagement. Order online at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/106992 – VIP Table seating can be ordered by emailing paula@swedishhousewife.com
