The zexy, zexy dance artistes of the Can Can Castaways are debuting a new Halloween show this weekend at the Triple Door they’ve named “This is Halloween” and it sounds, and looks, like it’s going to be a jaw dropper. Inspired by Tim Burton’s “Nightmare Before Christmas”, the Can Can show will feature live music, cabaret, burlesque, film and lots of their signature acrobatic, erotic, and powerful dancing. The Castaways have sold out the Triple Door for the last four years with their previous Halloween show, “Viva Oz Vegas”…can they top that success with “This is Halloween”? Judging by these photos with Jonny Boy as Jack Skellington and Rainbow as Sally, I think they’ve got a strong chance to outdo their previously amazing work…visually, it looks astounding. And, the Castaways are being joined by other talented artists:
Voted “Best Show” by Seattle Weekly and winner of Seattle Pride’s “People’s Choice Award,” the Can Can Castaways bring their explosive genre-defying power troupe and all new choreography by Rainbow Fletcher to the stage in live music corroboration with rock opera Gods Discs of Fury and projected scenic design by Jonathan Womack (Jinx ’74 Live Visual Studio) and TJ Davis (Lux Collective). Special Guest include Luminous Pariah, Little Biggers and Jess Kline formerly of Fan Kick. The Castaways were featured performers at this year’s Bumbershoot Festival and are celebrating four months’ worth of sell-out performances of audience favorite “Show Pony.

The festival runs through November 7 and features performances by The Love Markets, Le Serpent Rouge, Naresh Michael and Pamplemousse, and the closing show, The Yard Dogs, also at The Triple Door.
