Drinking coffee and wine in close proximity to each other would result in some of us running for the Mylanta, but when it’s a delicious new song that’s the first single released from Jinkx Monsoon’s debut album THE INEVITABLE ALBUM, then it’s a delightful combination of bevvies. AND, when you also get to enjoy a heavenly video of said song, made by Jinkx’s chief video collaborateur Mr. Alex Berry, then it’s even more of a treat.

Here’s the video…mild warning that it does include some gorgeous nearly nude breasts from various burlesque co-stars in the short including the lovely mammaries of Miss Kitty Baby, Kitten LaRue and Sydni Devereaux and a whole host of other gorgy burly q ladies. There’s also a zexy bathtub stud, a real kitty and Major Scales, aka Richard Andriessen who wrote the song for Miss Monsoon. And, you can BUY the single over at iTunes!

The album will also be at iTunes and elsewhere and it should be out…soon. REALLY soon. We know the album will be in the same vein as this song…so, in other words, don’t be expecting it to be ANYTHING like most other drag queen music albums. AKA, a lot of shitty Autotuned disco songs. From what we’ve heard/seen, half the album will be pop standards and Broadway tunes (expect some Sondheim!) though some with new lyrics, and the other half of the album will be new songs, all written by Mr. Andriessen. Deeeee-Lish!!!

Lucky Tri-State residents near the Big City of Manhattan (and deranged fans who might fly in for it) will have an opportunity to catch the concert debut for THE INEVITABLE ALBUM at The Laurie Beechman Theatre for a multi-show run from May 8 to the 11th in a show inevitably being called: THE INEVITABLE CONCERT. Jinkx will be joined by Major Scales/Mr. Andriessen and other musicians and you can also probably expect a special guest or two…here’s some more dish on the show:

After touring the world with The Vaudevillians, RuPaul’s Drag Race favorite Jinkx Monsoon makes her much anticipated return to New York with JINKX MONSOON: THE INEVITABLE CONCERT. Monsoon will appear live with her band, premiering an evening of songs from her upcoming CD, The Inevitable Album. The CD will be released the week of the show and will available to buy at the theatre. Performances run May 8 – 11 at 7pm at The Laurie Beechman Theater (inside West Bank Cafe at 407 West 42nd Street — at Ninth Avenue, accessible from the A,C,E,N,R,V,F,1,2,3 trains at 42nd Street). Tickets are $25 (plus a $15 food/drink minimum). A $50 VIP ticket including priority seating and meet-and-greet is also available. To purchase tickets, call 212-352-3101 or visit www.SpinCycleNYC.com.

Ssssshhh….Using nefarious means, (roofies mixed in wine & coffee) Mr. Strangeways managed to hear a rough cut of the album. It’s DELIGHTFULLY DELICIOUS!!! Fans of Ms Monsoon and old school cabaret/theater tunes are going to flip out! (But, it’s also fresh and a bit naughty…just like Jinkx.)
