Well, we’ll give Seattle Pride this much…they certainly have upped the entertainment ante for the Event Formerly Known As Pride Family Picnic…the event is still held on the 2nd Saturday in June in Capitol Hill’s Volunteer Park but instead of mostly offering up various version of “The Snoqualmie Gay Jug Band” or “The Sequim Men’s Chorus”, this year’s event has notable local musicians like the band SISTERS but they also flew in some great queer artists from around the country like the Big Dipper and Double Duchess.
It starts at noon this Saturday, June 10th. There will also be a beer garden, food trucks, the usual array of booths and family friendly stuff as well.
