Alki Beach Pride Is Saturday, August 31st!

August 19, 2024• byMichael Strangeways

LGBTQ Pride events never seem to end in the Pacific Northwest…we have them all summer long and one of the last ones of the year is coming up on Saturday, August 31st…ALKI BEACH PRIDE! It’s actually their 10th anniversary of the event which takes place in West Seattle in our own little version of Malibu. The event goes from 12pm and lasts until 8pm and includes all the usual suspects: food trucks, various vendors, and live entertainment.

A bit more intel from website:

Alki Beach Pride will be located on Alki Ave between 61st and 57th (Alki Cafe to Blue Moon Burgers). The hub of activities will be located right next to Alki Bath House and vendors will stretch out from there. Bring your beach gear to hang on the sand and enjoy the gorgeous views!

Donations are greatly appreciated to keep this event free to the general public. We’re also looking for sponsorship. Visit our website for more info. www.alkibeachpride.org

About the Author: Michael Strangeways

As the Editorial Director/Co-Owner, Michael Strangeways writes, edits and does about a million other jobs for Seattle Gay Scene, Puget Sound's most visited LGBTQ news, arts and entertainment website now celebrating its 14th year as a media outlet. A semi-proud Midwesterner by birth, he's lived in Seattle since 2000. He's also a film producer who would like you to check out the Jinkx Monsoon documentary, "Drag Becomes Him" now available on Amazon.com. In his spare time, he gets slightly obsessive about his love for old movies, challenging theater, "otters", vodka, chocolate, "I,Claudius", Lizzie Borden, real books made out of paper, disaster films, show tunes, Weimar era Germany, flea markets, pop surrealistic art, the sex lives of Hollywood actors both living and dead, kitties, chicken fried steak, haute couture and David Bowie. But, not necessarily in that order.
