Queer Bar, Wildrose, Other Bars Offer Up Opps To Watch Election Results

November 5, 2024• byMichael Strangeways

Gurl, we’re stressin’ out A LOT about Election Day 2024, this Tuesday, November 5th and while some of us homebodies will be at home watching results and popping Mexican Valiums like they’re jujubees, some of you will want to be surrounded by others as you watch results and drink copious amounts of beer, wine, and/or mixed adult drinks (but please don’t mix your alcohols…you will so much regret it tomorrow morning…)

Several LGBTQ establishments are promoting themselves as places to watch elections results Tuesday night (though we’re guessing many bars with TVs will be doing the same). Queer Bar on Capitol Hill is offering up “Amongst Friends” on Tuesday starting at 5pm which includes 2 for 1 cocktails and chicken sandwiches:

Go out and Vote if you haven’t yet. Then, come join us on Election Day next Tuesday 11/05 to either cry, laugh, or a dastardly combination of the two for one cocktails and chicken sammies from @eatmtjoy

The Wildrose is also promoting their Election Night event with the added incentive of it being Taco Tuesday. Union Bar just around the corner will have their big screens tuned to the results, too.

Other parts of town are getting in on the action, too. The gay owned/open to all Admiral Pub, 2306 California Ave SW in West Seattle will have their big screen TVs tuned to election coverage. Down in White Center, The Lumber Yard will give you options with election coverage on the bar side and Trivia on the loading dock side of the venue.

And, check out LGBTQ Nation online for results, especially for races with LGBTQ candidates. https://www.lgbtqnation.com/election/

A semi-proud Midwesterner by birth, he's lived in Seattle since 2000. He's also a film producer who would like you to check out the Jinkx Monsoon documentary, "Drag Becomes Him" now available on Amazon.com. In his spare time, he gets slightly obsessive about his love for old movies, challenging theater, "otters", vodka, chocolate, "I,Claudius", Lizzie Borden, real books made out of paper, disaster films, show tunes, Weimar era Germany, flea markets, pop surrealistic art, the sex lives of Hollywood actors both living and dead, kitties, chicken fried steak, haute couture and David Bowie. But, not necessarily in that order.
