Everything Is Coming Up Dolly With The Seattle Men’s Chorus This Spring

March 29, 2025• byMichael Strangeways

If you don’t love Dolly Parton, you’re probably dead to me…and millions of other fans of the beloved music star/actress/business woman/patron saint of all things wonderful. For the hundreds of thousands of fans of Miss Dolly in the Greater Seattle Metroplex, you’re gonna get a very special treat to enjoy all things Dolly when the Seattle Men’s Chorus showcases the legend this April and May during their spring concerts. Just to make things clear, the concert is titled Dolly: Seattle Men’s Chorus Salutes Dolly Parton  and features Dolly music from EVERY stage of her career, from the backwoods of Tennessee to the Grand Ole Opry to the Porter Wagoner Show to the movies to pop stardom/Broadway/Dollywood and everything in between.

This concert is so popular, they’ve already added an extra performance! So now you have 5 dates to choose from, spread out over several weeks, PLUS the choice of seeing the concert in one of FOUR different locations! Seattle’s 5th Avenue Theatre will host the first two shows on April 5th and 6th. Then the Chorus will move to the Mount Baker Theatre in Bellingham on April 13th. In May, they’ll head to the Pantages Theatre on May 3rd then wrap it all up at Everett’s Civic Auditorium on May 18th. AND, all but the first concert are afternoon shows so EVERYONE can enjoy them!

Spring Concert Features Performances in Seattle, Bellingham, Tacoma & Everett

SEATTLE – The Seattle Men’s Chorus is adding a second Seattle date for its upcoming spring concert — Dolly: Seattle Men’s Chorus Salutes Dolly Parton — in response to the strong community support for the Chorus’s holiday show, including a sold-out final performance. The Seattle Men’s Chorus is excited to honor the iconic singer, songwriter, and enduring LGBTQIA+ ally with a brand-new show built entirely on music Dolly Parton created and performed. The entertaining concert — with performances in Seattle, Bellingham, Tacoma, and Everett — will feature new arrangements of Parton classics including “Honky Tonk Angels,” “Jolene,” “Islands in the Stream,” and a mashup of songs from “The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.” Video storytelling will be highlighted throughout the show.

“We were so thrilled and grateful to sell out our final Holiday show last December that we wanted to make sure everyone had a chance to experience our tribute to the great Dolly Parton this spring,” said Seattle Men’s Chorus Executive Director Craig Coogan.

“Everybody loves Dolly,” said Seattle Men’s Chorus Artistic Director Paul Caldwell. “She and her music embody a fun and loving energy that’s just infectious — and this larger-than-life concert pulls out all the stops, with an abundance of everything as only the Seattle Men’s Chorus can deliver.”

Tickets are $39 to $99 and are available now through the Seattle Men’s Chorus website, SeattleMensChorus.org. Streaming passes — for individuals and groups — are also available to purchase for viewing the live April 6 performance (and throughout the week following the performance).
