Pretty sure, some of you won’t be able to handle this… Darling Canadian comedic actor and the only out gay member of the seminal comedy troupe THE KIDS IN THE HALL, the one and only SCOTT THOMPSON will be bopping into Seattle next week with his most beloved queer character, Buddy Cole to bring you an extraordinary solo show. THE LAST GLORYHOLE is a series of Scott’s most outrageous monologues as Buddy, the bar stool philosopher/gay lounge lizard made famous on The Kids In The Hall show in the 1990s.
Buddy’s wryly ribald observations aren’t for everyone…he’s a bit “pre-PC” at times so pearl clutchers might want to opt for a different kind of live show experience like Disney on Ice or yet another road show of “Mamma Mia”! That said, this is being billed as an ‘all ages’ show though I’m not sure if many 12 year olds are fans of snatchy gay ramblings from a barfly but…ya never know!
Scott and Buddy will slide into Seattle Theatre Group’s Neptune Theatre in the University District on Monday, April 21st. A few tickets remain at https://www.stgpresents.org/events/scott-thompson/
Here, Buddy is proud to be Canadian:
More from the gloryhole:
Scott Thompson from the ‘Kids in the Hall’ performs his most famous character, lounge lizard ‘Buddy Cole’, with his new show ‘THE LAST GLORYHOLE’.
The show is an evening of hilarious and incendiary monologues leading to an existential crisis where Buddy discovers that he is a ficional character. This new show is funnier, sillier and yet somehow more dangerous than ever. Join Buddy in an intimate setting as he mixes up martini’s and dishes out the dirt on his fabulous globe-trotting life all while reflecting on everything from the fractured state of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community to what to do in the event of an alien invasion.
Warning: If you like riotous boundary pushing comedy this is definitely the show for you!
