September 20, 2008• byBill W

Preview: The Night Watcher

The Seattle Repertory Theatre welcomes back their former Artistic Director Daniel Sullivan as he directs Charlayne Woodard in her new solo piece, The Night Watcher. Aunt, godmother and friend to countless kids, Woodard beautifully weaves together stories of the ordinary and extraordinary ways she’s mentored the children in her life.

Charlayne Woodard has written four solo plays and is also an accomplished actor whose recent film credits include M. Night Shyamalan’s Unbreakable; Nicholas Hytner’s The Crucible; and John Schlesinger’s Eye for an Eye. Television credits include recurring roles on Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Law and Order: SVU and ER.

Performances of The Night Watcher run September 25 – October 26, 2008. Tickets to The Night Watcher are now on sale and start at $15. Anyone 25 and under may purchase tickets for only $10 for any performance (with ID – call for details). For ticket or additional information go to www.seattlerep.org.
