Two places of note to watch the debate tonight Friday Sept 26:
Out for Obama Happy Hour and Debate Watch sponsored by Seattle LGBT Alliance for CHANGE at Neighbours Nightclub – 5pm – 8:30pm.
This week’s happy hour also coincides with the first presidential debate. We have the large space of Neighbours to watch the debate on the big screen so come join and bring your entourage.
Come together to show your support for Obama and discuss issues and opportunities for getting active, volunteering and getting people registered to vote. Of course any possible donation will be welcome to counteract the newly energized opposition. There will be free Information and other materials available for a donation. There will be weekly events up until the election so if you cant make this one please join us next time!
Please invite everyone you can! A group has been created so please invite your friends to join Seattle LGBT Alliance for CHANGE. We encourage you to start discussions and post things on the group site.
More info is here but you must have a Facebook log-in to view it.
Equal Rights Washington Party at Cafe Metropolitan: 1701 E Olive Way 5:30pm – 8pm
We’re throwing parties to watch the Presidential debates, and we want you to come!
What better way to watch the debates with fun, equality-minded people? You can even help yourself to an equalitini! Please join us after the first watch party to go out to local bars and clubs and register voters. We’ll also be recruiting volunteers for voter registration and election activities. We’ll have Governor Gregoire campaign materials at the watch parties as well.
More info is available here and you DON’T have to be on Facebook to see it.
I am adding The Elite to the list of events showing the debate. So if you want to watch the debate with “friends” head over to The Elite 1520 East Olive Way where they will broadcast the debate live with sound.
