The Seattle Tennis Alliance is your premier gay tennis association in the northwest. During the summer we get out into the fresh air and enjoy the sunshine and outdoor courts. I know you are thinking sunshine in Seattle, right, there is only rain in Seattle, but we have been quite fortunate that our summer social doubles has been dry each afternoon on our Tuesdays and Thursdays. We started our play at 6:30pm and usually played until 8pm or longer if possible.
Well now we are into the Fall and Winter season for social doubles and that is where we play indoors. Well it gets dark early and much colder outside so, we opt for the indoor courts at Amy Yee located on Martin Luther King Way. The courts get quite busy and getting them becomes quite difficult, but the STA has reservations for most Saturday evenings starting at 8pm going until 10pm. We have 3-4 courts all dependant on whether we get you to show up and play with the other members. We have members at the novice level all the way up to pretty experienced and very good players. The way we interact can depend on how many people show up and the level of the players. You can learn more by going to the STA website at seattletennisalliance.org.
If you are not a member your first time is free. We hope though you will find our other activities, including tournaments and competition an interest to you as well. Come join the fun and become a member. If you do not already play, come and feel free to get involved. You may find yourself having a good time and maybe getting a little exercise too. The club is open to both men and women 18+. You never know when you may meet a partner with something in common with you, besides sex.
