We’re just delighted that Tony Radovich has been named the winner of the first annual “Dr. Bob Wood Award for Excellence in HIV Prevention”. “Tony Rad” has been a beloved fixture in our community for about a hundred years; first as a popular dj/party fixture, then after battling some serious addiction issues, becoming a tireless advocate in public health education working to help others battling addictions, and in the fight for HIV/AIDS prevention. The man is a busy bee, (Strangeways met Mr. Radovich many years ago, toiling away at SIFF; he’s one of our oldest friends on the Hill), and no one deserves this award more than the tireless Tony.
You can join the community in honoring Mr. Radovich at a reception on Tuesday November 15, 2011 from 4pm to 5:30pm at HIV/AIDS Program Offices (Bill Ford Room), 400 Yesler Way, 3rd Floor. Come raise a (non-alcoholic) toast to Tony Radovich.
