A new Seattle restaurant, Long Provincial and Jelly Bar, had a soft opening in downtown, the Seattle Weekly reports. Featuring a live jelly fish tank, this is the sister establishment to the immensely popular Tamarind Tree.
The Vietnamese restaurant Tamarind Tree opened several years ago in its current nondescript location in an Asian strip mall in Little Saigon but has grown to be the hottest and one of the most popular Vietnamese restaurants in Seattle. By serving reasonably priced slightly upscale and good quality dishes yet maintaining traditional standards, Tamarind Tree shot up to the top of many people’s “best of” list. We can’t help but have similar expectations for the new Long Provincial in downtown. The Seattle Times blog had an announcement about it back on December 1st that you can read here.
Long Provincial is located a 1901 2nd Avenue (at Stewart Street) in downtown. They claim a $10 fee for last minute cancellations, reserve the right to restrict dinner to two hours max, and their reservation system, with table map, allows you to choose where you want to sit. Sounds like this could be as hot as the first. Go check out Long Provincial.
