An update from the folks organizing NX Weekend August 20-23, 2009.
Mythos Dance Party w/ DJ John LePage (Sat Aug 22nd, 9pm-2am)
Returning to take the tables for the Main Event Dance Party will be the capable hands of DJ John LePage. Last year, John literally ripped up the floor on his return to NX, so this year we definitely wanted to hear him on the Saturday nights events. We have also moved over to Neumos to take advantage of the space, as well as giving us the change to really show Seattle some new things in producing a dance party. Come see the surprises that are sure to make Mythos legendary.
Longship! Sunset Cruise w/ DJ Ted Eiel (Sun Aug 23rd, 4-8pm)
The cruise has been one of those DONT MISS IT events for NX. Each year the cruise has had its own energy, either sun or rain. We are ecstatic to announce that DJ Ted Eiel is going to be spinning for us this year. Ted has been a very busy man as of late, burning up the turn tables at events such as Folsom Street Fair, Lazybear, and this next weekend he is spinning Black and Blue Ball Closing Party at IML. With a standing gig (MeatRack) at the LA Eagle, Ted’s style of music and dance following has been spreading across the US. First time ever spinning for the Seattle crowd, and we think you will be very pleased.

Yes, you read it correctly. We are very excited to announce our first event at The Wildrose. We at NX Weekend, believe strongly that to best suite our fundraising ventures for Lambert House, it is important for us to be open armed in being joined by others (men or woman) who are interested in supporting the youth of our community. So we are pleased to announce our first event at The Wildrose, Seattle’s Premier Women’s Bar.
SWEAT-ea NX Closing Party w/ DJ Peter G (Sun Aug 23rd, 8pm-2am)
Going back to its roots, we are moving SWEAT to Sunday @ The Cuff Complex, where it made its original NX debut back in 2002. And with this move we are also announcing the stylish sounds of DJ Peter G. Peter is no stranger to Seattle, and we felt it was a great fit to have him come and get reacquainted. We think this quad pairing between Sunday Night, The Cuff, SWEAT and DJ Peter G’s sounds will make for a night to remember. Don’t miss it
