The day starts off with a Seattle Pride Brunch as Sazerac, BOKA Kitchen and Spitfire offer a special plated brunch menu for hungry parade-goers. Sazerac’s $25 brunch includes a trip to their bloody mary bar and offered until 2:30pm. BOKA Kitchen offers a choice of three items for $25 and officially ends at 11am. Spitfire’s Pride Brunch is $20 and is located on 4th Avenue.
Seattle Pride Parade, probably the largest crowd in its 35 year history, begins at 11am in downtown but you know how long it takes to finally reach the end of the parade route. There will be parade announcers at 4th & Bell and Westlake Park along with a “VIP Village” Beer and Wine Garden at 4th & Bell where you can watch the parade and grab liquid refreshment. Gain entry by giving $5 to Seattle Pride.
Seattle PrideFest @ Seattle Center runs from 11am – 7pm. This is the largest LGBT gathering in the Pacific NW, other than the Pride Parade of course, with performers (you will find a schedule here), 2 beer gardens & 4 DJs spinning the fountain. It looks like it’s going to be a nice warm day!
Teatro ZinZanni Pride Open House: They open their boutique and bar in the lobby for drinks and shopping from 1pm – 4pm, along with a chance to sneak a peek at rehearsals of their new show! They are located across the street from the Seattle Center.
Bend It Workshops @ Vera Project 3pm-4:30pm. Waxx Poetic, 6pm.
Cuff Pride Street Party: Beer Garden from 12pm – 8pm.
This event is overflowing with pitchers of beer and packed every year with a long line that moves relatively quickly. Performances from Celeda, Candy J and Kristine W., $15. I have been told that you can go to Cuff and pay in advance between 10am and Noon before you head down to the parade. Be sure to move from the outside block party to inside Cuff before 8pm or you will be left waiting in a line that doesn’t move quickly.
Wildrose Pride! Beer Garden from 1pm to 10pm. DJ Valentine, Sex Toy Drag Races, a Butch Contest, Sumo Wrestling along with DJ LA Kendall and MC Adrabro, Club TT’s DJ Judical, LOGO Network’s DJ Brynn Taylor (L.A.). Inside at 9:30pm with DJ Colby B.
Lick Loves Pride @ Sole Repair 5pm-9pm. $2 Stoli Specials.
DJs Dewey Decimal, Mathematix and General Meow.
TRASH @ Seattle Eagle Jock N’ Awe Jockstrap Pride Party.
