It has been really exciting to see Kevin Kent’s current performance in Beaumount and Caswell Together Forever…Again! He is an incredibly talented and fun to watch actor that has brought hilarious gay entertainment to mainstream audiences from around the world during his performances at Teatro ZinZanni. In fact, he is an original cast member with the popular Seattle dinner show, going back over ten years and has even performed at Rebar with Dan Savage’s infamous Greek Active.
In this current production, running through January 17, 2010, Kent is joined by the equally talented Christine Deaver as the oft-married/divorced couple who each change their genders as often as they change their relationship status.
In her current role, Deaver is like a female version of Kevin Kent, only funnier, and she was originally born, raised and educated in Seattle and now lives and works as an actor, singer, writer, director and voiceover artist in Los Angeles.
Whether Deaver is playing the over-sexed babysitter in the CBS sitcom, Yes Dear, or the white trash mama, Lacy, in the indie film Stalled, her work has left her indelible mark on film and television. Christine is a nominee and recipient of numerous Garland, Ovation and L.A. Weekly awards.
Recently, Christine was seen as the formidable Russian spy in the 60’s homage The Defenders, as the power-hungry fire inspector in Empire Hotel, and as the voices of Sarah Palin, Heidi Montag, Carrie Bradshaw and a plethora of others in the series The Yards.
I am excited to see that Kevin Kent will be returning for the latest production at Teatro ZinZanni, License to Kiss, which will begin on January 21 and play trough April 25, 2010.
