What time should Seattle’s Pride Parade start?

January 29, 2010• bySeattle Gay Scene

This year Seattle Out and Proud, organizers of the annual LGBT Pride Parade, are getting feedback on many issues involving the Parade, which is always held on the last Sunday in June. For many years the Parade has started at 11am. But for many people, myself included, it has been quite a chore trying to get there in time for the start of the parade after a long night out during Pride Weekend.

This year they are considering beginning it later than 11am. The parade lasts at least 2 1/2 hours. The survey asks what time would be best for the Seattle Pride Parade and whether 11am works or if you are one that prefers to sleep in. Too bad one of the choices does not ask if you want the parade to start at 11am AND you prefer to sleep in late.
