Lady Gaga Cometh to the Pacific Northwest in August!

March 15, 2010• byMichael Strangeways

It doesn’t matter if you love the ground she walks on (and genuflect as she passes by) or mock gag if you hear her music or see yet another picture of her on the web/tv/TMZ, NOTHING can stop the freight train known as Lady Gaga and her reign as the current Queen of Pop Music. And the Empress of Outré Fashion is bringing her Monster Ball show to our neck of the woods for shows in Portland on August 19th, Tacoma (at the Tacoma Dome) on August 21st and Vancouver, BC on August 23rd, with tickets going on sale Friday, March 19th for the Vancouver show, (ticket sales for Portland and Tacoma are TBA)…here’s the blurb from the press release:

Tickets (general admission floors and reserved seating in the stands) for The Monster Ball go on sale in select markets including New York, Vancouver, Toronto, San Jose, Los Angeles, and Boston beginning March 19th at LiveNation.com.

Virgin Mobile customers will have access to presale tickets beginning Tuesday, March 16th at 10am local time. “We are excited to take our partnership with Lady Gaga and The Monster Ball Tour to another level,” said Bob Stohrer, VP of Marketing for Virgin Mobile USA. “We’ll also build on our partnership around combating youth homelessness and continue to enhance the tour experience for fans and our customers.” For details visit www.virginmobileusa.com.

Citi® cardmembers will also have access to presale tickets beginning Tuesday, March 16th at 10am local time through Citi’s Private Pass® Program. For complete presale details visitwww.citiprivatepass.com.

You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to figure out that these tickets will go fast so if you’re a Gagahead you’d better plan ahead to make sure you get seats…but judging by how they’ve scheduled the shows, maybe they will add nights to some of those dates…

About the Author: Michael Strangeways

As the Editorial Director/Co-Owner, Michael Strangeways writes, edits and does about a million other jobs for Seattle Gay Scene, Puget Sound's most visited LGBTQ news, arts and entertainment website now celebrating its 14th year as a media outlet. A semi-proud Midwesterner by birth, he's lived in Seattle since 2000. He's also a film producer who would like you to check out the Jinkx Monsoon documentary, "Drag Becomes Him" now available on Amazon.com. In his spare time, he gets slightly obsessive about his love for old movies, challenging theater, "otters", vodka, chocolate, "I,Claudius", Lizzie Borden, real books made out of paper, disaster films, show tunes, Weimar era Germany, flea markets, pop surrealistic art, the sex lives of Hollywood actors both living and dead, kitties, chicken fried steak, haute couture and David Bowie. But, not necessarily in that order.
