Above are some photos from my night at USC.11 with Tiësto back in 2008 and that lineup was incredible (Tiesto, BT, DJ Dan and Donald Glaude) and delivered everything and more.
Even BT was amazing and could have been the headliner by himself with joint Tiësto mixes such as Break My Fall, Love Comes Again and The Force Of Gravity (Do you cry your eyes to sleep).
Now staffing at this event back in June 2008 was a whole other issue. Drink lines were beyond ridiculous. Even the VIP line, which cost $100, had a long wait. Some waited over an hour for a drink. The drinks cost $9, everyone was tipping, so it is amazing to me that they could not just hire more bartenders. And in what seems all too typical in Seattle the liquor “ran out” well before the event ended.
But who (other than myself) goes to an event like this to drink from the bar? Apparently far more than WaMu Theatre anticipated.
This time Tiesto is back at the WaMu Theatre with Johnny Monsoon and Hyperfunk for his Kaleidoscope tour at a very reasonable $37 on Saturday April 10, 2010 at 8pm. Tiesto is beyond superstar becoming one of the world’s most commercially successful DJs ever. And while he is pretty talented he’s no Daft Punk, that’s for sure. This event is 16+ and 21+ for bars with ID and maybe a little bit of patience.
