Aiden James will be in Seattle on Sunday March 28. Having created his own record label, the self-proclaimed “indie artist” is taking his “On the Run” album on tour across the country.
With humble upbringings in a struggling working class family, becoming something other than ordinary was not celebrated or encouraged. Aiden refused to accept that and fled to Philadelphia where he embraced urban life, not to mention the local music scene. Currently living in downtown Philadelphia, this talented, twenty something is making great strides for a self taught musician.
And with an amazing voice that is “quietly powerful and strongly captivating,” Aiden is finally getting the attention he deserves.
The New Gay interviewed him back in September (here):
Sweetly strummy, lightly poppy and refreshingly tuneful, his folksy sound immediately put me at ease in spite of the fact that most of the patrons seemed to be walking around with laundry bags. He concluded his set with a disarming cover of Rihanna’s “Umbrella.”
Many others like him including After Elton’s Ed Kennedy.
Aiden James is at the Skylark Club in West Seattle (3803 Delridge Way SW) on Sunday, March 28, 2010 at 7pm and is joined by his touring partner Christopher Dallman at 8pm.

Great show last night. Decent venue but wish he had played on the hill instead. Can't wait till he's back in town.
where is there to play on the hill for acoustic music?
