Say “Yes!” to Yes, Tonight at Chapel

April 14, 2010• byMichael Strangeways

It’s always nice to welcome a new weekly event to the Capitol Hill scene and tonight’s inaugural kick-off for YES, a new weekly party at Chapel devoted to “Nightclubbing Adults Who Crave More…” should be a welcome addition to the community. (And, you thought it was a tribute to the 70’s British Prog-Rock band, didn’t you?) Hosted by DJ’s Tony Burns and MC Anton Bomb with special weekly guests, (this week features dance crew House of Charlatan and special birthday boy, DJ Nark), the new event promises to be about “community and networking” and promoting events, shows and the art and music of the nightlife community. The show kicks off tonight Wednesday April 14, 2010, starting at 9pm and lasting until bar closing, at Chapel, 1600 Melrose Ave on The Hill. There is NO cover, obviously it’s 21+ and Chapel is featuring 2 for 1 drink specials…Just make sure you shield your eyes from the lasers emiting from the boobs on the Nukular 80’s Chick on the moped…

About the Author: Michael Strangeways

As the Editorial Director/Co-Owner, Michael Strangeways writes, edits and does about a million other jobs for Seattle Gay Scene, Puget Sound's most visited LGBTQ news, arts and entertainment website now celebrating its 14th year as a media outlet. A semi-proud Midwesterner by birth, he's lived in Seattle since 2000. He's also a film producer who would like you to check out the Jinkx Monsoon documentary, "Drag Becomes Him" now available on Amazon.com. In his spare time, he gets slightly obsessive about his love for old movies, challenging theater, "otters", vodka, chocolate, "I,Claudius", Lizzie Borden, real books made out of paper, disaster films, show tunes, Weimar era Germany, flea markets, pop surrealistic art, the sex lives of Hollywood actors both living and dead, kitties, chicken fried steak, haute couture and David Bowie. But, not necessarily in that order.
