Opening this Saturday, May 1st at Vain (6pm, 2018 1st Ave), is Sticky, the new and first gallery showing of photography by Kevin Kauer/Nark Photo.
‘I’ve been so lucky to meet so many wonderful characters around Seattle and further, I’m even more lucky to force them to eat rhinestones and let me cover them in disgusting amounts of food and syrups for my artistic pleasure, of course it comes together to express the personalities of both parties… and cause food comas.’
Featuring such personas as Lady Rizo (NY), Stella Rose, Richard Kennedy (NY), Golden Boi (AUS), Cybersutra, Lisa Dank, Heidi Von Haught, artStar, Cherdonna and Lou, Anita Snak, Amoania, Honeysuckle Hype, Jackie Hell and more. The running theme is messy and sugar coated, but will also feature a few more tame shots, as well as some select nightlife photos.
All in all, over 30 prints, all 1 of 5, will be presented in full bigger than life glory in dimensions no smaller than 20 inches long for your full viewing pleasure.
DJ Teabag starts the party off at 6pm sharp. Drinks will be served, as well as food (can you guess what kind?), a great mingling sesh with Seattle’s sparkliest as well!
