Who says we don’t look out for our brothers and sisters in Olympia and Portland?

May 25, 2010• byMichael Strangeways

Capitol City Pride all set to celebrate Pride Weekend in style on June 12 & 13! Portland’s Pride Northwest will boogie down the following weekend on June 19 & 20!

Who says you can’t have your cake and eat it, too? The Smart LGBT Set knows you can party pridefully in Olympia on the weekend of June 12/13, then do it all over again in Portland on June 19/20, before wrapping up the month on the weekend of the 26/27th in Seattle…then, you get a whole month or so to rest up before heading up to Vancouver, B.C. for their festivities on August 1. Then, you can head off for a little rehab to detox from all that fun…

About the Author: Michael Strangeways

As the Editorial Director/Co-Owner, Michael Strangeways writes, edits and does about a million other jobs for Seattle Gay Scene, Puget Sound's most visited LGBTQ news, arts and entertainment website now celebrating its 14th year as a media outlet. A semi-proud Midwesterner by birth, he's lived in Seattle since 2000. He's also a film producer who would like you to check out the Jinkx Monsoon documentary, "Drag Becomes Him" now available on Amazon.com. In his spare time, he gets slightly obsessive about his love for old movies, challenging theater, "otters", vodka, chocolate, "I,Claudius", Lizzie Borden, real books made out of paper, disaster films, show tunes, Weimar era Germany, flea markets, pop surrealistic art, the sex lives of Hollywood actors both living and dead, kitties, chicken fried steak, haute couture and David Bowie. But, not necessarily in that order.
