Stuff to do tonight: Queer TV Show at Julia’s and Blitz Art Walk!

June 10, 2010• byMichael Strangeways

It’s the 2nd Annual Queer TV Show a queer variety show put on by the Producer’s Collective and it’s going down TONIGHT, Thursday, June 10 at Julia’s on Broadway. This installment’s theme is “We are all Children of the 80’s” and it features a fantastic line-up of local talent including Team Gina, Tamara the Trapeze Lady, Randy Andy, Miss Cherry Tart, Marita Isabel DeLeon and so very, many more…It all starts at 9pm, and the doors open at 8:30pm and you can buy advance tickets at BrownPaper for $12.

AND, it times out nicely with the 1st Anniversary of Blitz, the Capitol Hill Art Walk which goes from 5pm to 8pm and includes venues all over the Hill, including many of your favorite restaurants, coffee shops, bars and retail outlets. AND, this month is extra-special because several of the founders of Blitz, including Audrey McManus from Babeland and acclaimed artist Ellen Forney will conducted guided, MOUSTACHE tours (provided) of many of the venues! Each tour is different, (and there is a stiletto tour for those of you disinclined to wear a ‘stache) and they start at different locations. Check out the website for more details.

About the Author: Michael Strangeways

As the Editorial Director/Co-Owner, Michael Strangeways writes, edits and does about a million other jobs for Seattle Gay Scene, Puget Sound's most visited LGBTQ news, arts and entertainment website now celebrating its 14th year as a media outlet. A semi-proud Midwesterner by birth, he's lived in Seattle since 2000. He's also a film producer who would like you to check out the Jinkx Monsoon documentary, "Drag Becomes Him" now available on Amazon.com. In his spare time, he gets slightly obsessive about his love for old movies, challenging theater, "otters", vodka, chocolate, "I,Claudius", Lizzie Borden, real books made out of paper, disaster films, show tunes, Weimar era Germany, flea markets, pop surrealistic art, the sex lives of Hollywood actors both living and dead, kitties, chicken fried steak, haute couture and David Bowie. But, not necessarily in that order.
