On Sunday, March 16th, there will be a fundraiser for Joseph Skillings. Joe is the second grade teacher who was assaulted while helping a woman who was being harassed at a Capitol Hill bus stop. Here’s the story of what happened:
Seattle Times story & KOMO TV story.
You may know Joe from Golds Gym Broadway, dancing at Timberline/Cuff, etc. He recently returned home after many weeks in the hospital, but has a long recovery ahead. If you’re interested in helping, here’s info on the fundraiser:

Please join us in our continuing support for Joseph as he recovers. Come mingle with friends, have a glass of wine, take in a nibbly or two and help us raise money for the ongoing support and recovery of Joseph. Bring your check book to make a donation, or bid on one of the silent auction items. All funds collected will be used to make sure Joseph is taken care of during his road back. QFC and PCC gift cards would make a great donation item.
Donations may also be made to the Skillings Help Fund at any Bank of America branch.
You can find the latest info on Joe’s progress at: www.caringbridge.org/visit/josephskillings.
Thanks to Out & Equal for the heads up about this event.
