Lady Gaga (The Princess of Pop and Madonna’s heir apparent – look out Madge, she’s right behind you!) produced a soundtrack to Thierry Mugler’s showing this week at Paris Fashion Week, of his Fall/Winter collection. This track, reportedly titled “Scheiße” is a remix of a single from her hotly anticipated new album Born This Way. The track contains elements of 90’s house/techno (which if you’re 24 is retro, I know…) but the chanted German lyrics made me immediately think of the Run, Lola, Run soundtrack that is still the best treadmill/workout music possible.
Thierry Mugler’s sense of abstraction seems to fit the Haus of Gaga aesthetic to a T.
In the interest of juxtaposition (btw – I’ve loved that word since freshman English class!) I’m also presenting Komm su Mir just for fun. Listen to it on a treadmill some time just for fun. If your heart doesn’t explode from the years of red meat and bourbon, you’ll burn the hell outta some calories.
