Fever Club and SXY

Friday March 14, 2008 @ 5 pm, show 5:30 pm.
El Corazón: 109 Eastlake Ave East.

Fever Club was originally called The Look but were forced to change the name in September of 2007. The band originally grew up in Yakima but currently lives in Seattle and consists of Andrea Valdez, Nick Lawrence, Abdon Valdez, and Eric Freistadt and is produced by Mark Hoppus originally of Blink-182.

The sound and style of SXY is very captivating and if you’ve ever had the chance to see them live you’ll agree they have the talent to capture your attention with their energy and charm. Being half Spanish and half Icelandic may help you understand their unique blend of pop/rock/electronica.

Lead singer Shanine, whose initials happen to be S.X.Y., has always had loud pipes and never been afraid of expressing herself. At the age of 2, she stood up and belted out “Everybody let’s rock and roll” in the middle of a church sermon.

SXY is a self produced and recorded collaboration between SXY and brother Helgi aka Kid Diskonekted. The two have been evolving artistically and technically for the last 10 years. Progressing from four track grit recordings to learning and operating a full pro tools studio.

Be sure to check out SXY’s song Numb. It is excellent.

SXY is definately Waiting to Explode, so ask yourself, are you ready for whats to come.
