Retro-Futuristic Satire Skewers Consumer Culture

Annex Theatre Company presents the West Coast Premiere of “S2“ by Seattle-based playwright Edward Mast. “S2” is a sardonic, action-packed satire following the misadventures of sexy teen hustler Slate, who wants to sell a suitcase full of mysterious white powder and in the process finds himself plunged into a head-spinning world of prostitution, murder, mind-control, criminal and corporate syndicates, government conspiracy, guerrilla warfare, space-walks, and international subterfuge.

“S2” features the talents of: Chris Bell, Juniper Berolzheimer, Isaiah Crowson, Alex Garnett, Ciara Griffin, Jaime Roberts, Spencer Thorson, and Julie Westlin-Naigus.

“S2“ opens on Friday, May 9, 2008, and runs through June 7, 2008 at Annex’s Gail Stellner Theatre located at 1100 East Pike Street, on Capitol Hill just a few doors down from Purr Cocktail Lounge. Tickets are only $12 or less with a pay what you can performance on Friday, May 16, 2008.
