Quietly and methodically, on the Corner of 10th and Pike Street, a new gastropub is being built. A “gastropub,” such as the Spotted Pig in New York, specializes in high quality food beyond the typical pub grub.
Quinn’s, named after owners Scott and Heather Staples’ son, also has a “sister” property, Zoe in Belltown (and of course named after the owners’ daughter).
While most new businesses on Capitol Hill primarily cater to straight patrons its central location and stylish atmosphere should make it a friendly place when it opens.
From the Seattle PI:
“…Staples already has a clear vision for the menu. ‘There’ll be a section called snacks, lighter fare perfect for beer and wine, from three to six bucks. Then, 10 appetizers, three sandwich-type things, a burger and sausages, and larger entree-ish dishes. A lot of standards, done by cooks with classical training. We’ll do some really fun, kind of wacky things as well.'”
