Seattle is in full Christmas mode right now with extra late closing hours at most stores and malls. In the evening, the traffic can be a nightmare so allow extra time when getting to those special events and shows.
The Barney’s New York sale is currently underway and I have noticed a number of m
en’s designer clothing items with decent markdowns from original price. The inventory appears to be changing daily as more sale items are put out. The sale lasts until it all has been picked over and then will be sent down the warehouse sale in California in 2008.
Mario’s Clothing Store does not go on sale till after Christmas. Typically their sales are the best time to shop and most of the good stuff blows out early.
The $50 million SLUT (South Lake Union Streetcar) Trolley started operating today in downtown Seattle, transporting passengers a whole 1.3 miles from downtown Westlake Center to the South Lake Union area. The Streetcar will be free for the whole month of December.
