Velocity Dance Center‘s current home, Odd Fellows Hall, has been sold to a commercial real estate developer and as they continue to negotiate to stay at the location their long term future seems uncertain. However, this weekend’s highly anticipated performances are a certainity – The Bridge Project: Three performances by three choreographers created in three weeks.

Velocity Dance Center has commissioned three of Seattle’s freshest choreographers to create new dances for the 9th year of The Bridge Project. The pressure is on, as each choreographer is in residence with a cast of dancers to create a brand new work in three weeks – resulting in one amazing show presented for three nights only, January 25, 26 & 27, 2008 at 8PM.

The Bridge Project reveals new work by choreographers Kristina Dillard, Kelly Sullivan, and Violette Tucker & Misha Kaschock. The Choreographic Advisor for The Bridge Project this year is Velocity’s 2008 Choreographer in Residence, Mary Sheldon Scott.
