An evening with El Vez the “Mexican Elvis”

February 26, 2008• bySeattle Gay Scene

TONIGHT! Tuesday February 26 at 7 pm enjoy an evening with
El Vez, the openly gay self-proclaimed
“Mexican Elvis,” as he takes the audience through “Sabor a Mi,” a retrospective of the musical careers of El Vez. Jasen Emmons, director of curatorial affairs for EMP, will interview El Vez and his friends.

There is quite a bit of hysteria around El Vez over the years and he has developed an unexplainable devote following across cultural borders.

Here is more info on El Vez at his MySpace page.

The Oral History Live! series at EMP features intimate interviews before a live audience. General admission is just $5 at the JBL Theater – 325 5th Avenue North.
