Is it Predictable? Absolutely. However, the film did have its moments. Humor and more.
The hardcore Indy fans have no home life, except only to camp out in front of a movie theater for their chance to make it on TV. And they of course got their wish. Some people said they have been waiting for this movie for 19 years. “I have been waiting to see this movie ever since the last one ended and I was so disappointed when i finally figured out that there wasn’t going to be a fourth Indiana movie.” says Jason out front of the theatre. He was the first person in line two weeks ago. I asked him does he work for a living?Of course he laughed at me.
The movie itself? FUN, lots of high energy and typical CGI for a movie of our time. Had this movie been made 19 years ago, I don’t think it would have the same effect. But the show was somewhat predictable. Whenever Indiana was in a jam, he would always get out of it somehow. This movie is great for those of you who like action movies. I know I do. I was happy to see it.
When the Lucasfilms logo came on the screen the crowd went insane. just like it did when you went to see the first Star Wars movie as a kid. But, there are some cool things that I DID like about the movie. Indiana Jones is still sexier than ever. Damn he looks good for his age. There was everything from, yep you guessed it, snakes, to man-eating ants, to a kid swinging from vines like Tarzan, and scorpions. I don’t want to give it away. I will just say it has its moments. I never knew we descended from aliens! Cate Blancette’s performance was pretty damn good, she had the Russian thing down pat. On a Scale of 1 to 5, I give it a 4 for humor and special effects.
