H&M set to change Seattle’s shopping experience

September 17, 2008• byBill W

“Finally…the wait is over!”

H&M is set to open at high noon on Thursday, September 18th in downtown Seattle (520 Pike Street across from Niketown). H&M, Hennes & Mauritz, is the international fashion retailer known for its stylish and affordable fashion. Around the country, and the entire world, H&M has made a huge impact in the value people expect when buying hip fashion and accessories.

The Southcenter (Westfield Mall) and University Village have already recently opened stores and this new downtown store will surely change the landscape of shopping in Seattle.

On Tuesday night we attended the the press opening and the new store looks to be everything and more that you expect from H&M. The store on 6th and Pike will concentrate on fashion for both young men and women but with styles that will appeal to people of all ages.

Celebrity DJ Samantha Ronson (reportedly Linsay
Lohan’s main squeeze
) was on hand for the event.

Long lines for the fitting room is pretty standard at H&M so it’s probably best to simply buy and try at home, particularly during the stores first few days of opening. The first 300 customers in line at the Grand Opening in downtown Seattle on September 18 will receive a free t-shirt and an H&M gift card with a value of $10 – $500. Get there early.
