Here is an excellent analysis of how the counting of the State Legislative election is winding down. Republicans are on track to pick up one seat in the House and Senate by sadly defeating 22 year incumbent Senator Marylin Rasmussen in the 2nd District and by picking up two of the open house seats once held by Democrats in the 26th and 44th Districts. Democrats pick up a seat from anti-gay Republican Rep. Jim Dunn’s in the 17th District, who actually lost in the primary.
In the 6th District both the incumbent Republican AND the incumbent Democrat are trailing to their challengers for the two State Representative seats. Tit for tat. Although the Democratic challenger only leads by 63 votes.
