I knew that Seth Cooper was a rising star in the DJ world but man did he ever blow away the crowd at Seattle’s Cuff Complex on Saturday night. The music is undeniably the best I have heard here in a very long time. DJ Seth Cooper virtually transformed the Cuff into a circuit party (and for just a $5 cover) it felt like the entire city was out on the dance floor last night. After hearing him I must admit that I was extremely impressed with his six hour set.
The dance floor was completely packed well through last call and all the way up until the 3am closing time. DJ Seth Cooper’s energetic beats propelled us on an intense journey. Somehow he is able to maintain and carry our emotions from very high to even higher, never letting up for us to even catch a breath. This was classic circuit at its best but from modern beats and not the watered down Top-40 HiNRG we have recently grown accustom to.
I have not felt this way about a DJ in a long time and gay Seattle has not seen this kind of performance recently from any of our visting megastar DJs. I am sure the national party scene will be hearing a lot more of DJ Seth Cooper and I certainly look forward to a future a visit from him as well.
This event was way bigger than I had even realized with an early 9pm start time and some pretty cool giveaways during the first part of the night. The night started early with lines forming well before 11pm. This event was being thrown by Camel as part of their Saturday Night Party event, where they choose one nightclub each week across America. Out on Cuff’s back patio they actually set up a chocolate fountain in a roped off lounge area and were giving away full-sized stainless steel flasks and were personally engraving them. The chocolate fountain and velvet ropes were a pretty funny sight being that this was the Cuff.
Most of those in my group went out to the Cuff skeptical of a DJ they have never heard of before but every one of us ended the night hooked all the way up until closing time as new believers in DJ Seth Cooper.
