State Republicans hope to repeal domestic partnerships

February 4, 2009• byBill W

Six legislators introduced a bill to repeal domestic partnerships in Washington State. The Stranger points out that “The bill doesn’t have a snowballing’s chance in hell” but you have to be disgusted by such tenacious attacks on the imtimate lives of gay families and their children.

Those State Representives are:
Jim McCune (Graham), Rep. Matthew Shea (Mead), Larry Crouse (Spokane Valley), Joe Schmick (Colfax), Don Cox (Colfax), Dan Roach (Bonney Lake)

You have to wonder what motivates someone like these six legislators to feel and act so inhumanely to children and families.

The motive is good old evil homophobia.

Classic, take note, alive and kicking in the far right wing.

I have to agree that it is usually fear and extreme insecurity which motivates people to do things like this. What a shame they cannot see a therapist to work out their issues instead of punishing others for it.
