The man behind the campaign to file a referendum and repeal Washington state’s domestic-partnership law is reportedly registered to vote in the state of Oregon, according to The Stranger.
Dominic Holden claims he was able to uncover records that Faith and Freedom’s Gary Randall is actually a registered voter in Clackamas County, Oregon, where Randall and his wife own a home and where one of the addresses for the Faith and Freedom Network is listed. (Lake Oswego)
Washington state law says a referendum may be filed by “any legal voter of the state.”
It now appears Randall can’t file the referendum himself and wouldn’t even be allowed to vote on the measure.
However, his organization is already seeking tax-deductible donations to “Faith and Freedom” as they prepare to “defend marriage.”
