MC Queen Lucky returns for tribute to Michael Jackson

August 14, 2009• bySeattle Gay Scene

For twelve years starting way back in 1989, Carla Schricker, known as DJ MC Queen Lucky, spun for Re-bar’s popular Queer Disco night throughout the 90’s. And Carla has not forgotten this incredible run in Seattle’s gay history, “Queer Disco, it was a 12 year run that was awesome” she said.

In 2001 she bought into the bar before eventually buying out her partner’s share just last year and becoming the one and only owner of Re-bar.

On Saturday August 15, 2009 Carla returns to the booth as MC Queen Lucky for a very special tribute night to Michael Jackson along with DJ Riz, who was voted best DJ in Seattle back in 2004.

Don’t miss it. The event starts at 10pm with a $7 cover.
