Sunday night’s “Global” Party cancelled!

August 2, 2009• bySeattle Gay Scene

So many big ticket events going in Vancouver this weekend this was bound to happen. “GLOBAL” on Sunday August 2 from 9:30pm – 4am has been cancelled. This was surprising since their other event on Sunday night, “UNITED” from 2am – 10am is almost sold out. Big Roger Events said the following:

After conversing with a few of our loyal supporters last night it became clear to us just how torn people are between two main events on Sunday night and that being separated from their friends on PRIDE, wasn’t consistent with the spirit of what we hoped to achieve. The very names of our parties invoke inclusiveness and gathering. We therefore wish to advise everyone that the GLOBAL PRIDE event at Gossip Nightclub on Sunday August 2nd has been cancelled, eliminating the division and enabling our community to celebrate as one!

To be clear, this cancellation is for the GLOBAL party on Sunday night at Gossip. The NATIONS party and UNITED are both still happening on schedule with Brett Henrichsen, Matthew Rush, Circuit Mom and DJ Paulo all eager to blow you away.

If you are in Vancouver without an event tonight, Tony Moran will no doubt spin an unbelievable set at Rapture Recovery at the Commodore Ballroom.

If you bought a ticket for GLOBAL go back to your original point of sale of your ticket purchase for a full refund. For online orders, your GLOBAL ticket charges will be refunded. Pass holders will be given a $69 credit and can still use their pass for the rest of our weekend.
